Sitting in the diverse gastronomic center of Molito Alabang, Mr. Park's Bread and Cake grabbed my attention for their bread and pastries. For no they have few branches, but their products and quality along with their price could compete with other commercial bakeries.

Entering Mr. Park's, a simple bakery/cafe greets with sofas, tables, and chairs. The high ceiling creates an open atmosphere combined with colorful murals provides a positive and open vibe.

In the middle of the establishment lays Mr. Park's products. It ranges from savory bread like naan and garlic and butter bread, to sweets like almond croissant and various tarts, and to loafs and banquettes. They also had cakes and pies placed in their refrigerated shelf besides their counter.

In addition to those displayed, they also had meals and beverages listed behind their counter. In the end, I choose the sweet butterfly pastry (P 85), a slice of walnut pie (P 58), cream puff (P 10/piece), a Cafe Americano to wash it down.
The butterfly pastry takes my attention for its unusual appearance. When dine-in, it is heated and the sugary icing melts, but the puff pastry turns rough. Nonetheless, it remains enjoyable. Try to eat it in room temperature, it is better where its flaky texture stands prominent and it makes you think of ways to eat it - a playful pastry to eat.

The walnut pie is small, yet understandable with its cheap price. walnut mixed with caramelized condensed milk is satisfying in its surprisingly mild sweetness and crispy texture.
There cream puffs on the other hand is truly cute and very good. Not overpoweringly sweet, the cream flowing after a bite gives a luscious silky texture in the mouth. But eating it needs care as a wrong bite might spill and waste its cream.

With all the treats, I choose an Americano to push all it down. Nothing special, but it helps to wash away the sweetness in the palette and avoid losing my appetite.
Overall, Mr. Park's Bread & Cake is a unique experience with quality and fair pricing at its core.
