Overall Experience: 6 out of 10
'Tis the season as Christmas is just around and the feels is on and many business are taking advantage to release new special products in their lines besides their stamp collection tradition for highly coveted journals.
Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf was no exception. As they compete in prestige for stamp collection, they released new products for the Christmas season and I cannot wait to have a try in their Ayala Malls South Park District branch.
The place is typical of a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf branch with their dark and warm atmosphere, wood elements, and variety of table and chair set up. Customers can choose to stay in a simple table and chair set or in a high chair and table as well as a sofa and coffee table that resembles a tea create. Not much can be said about the place as it is expected of a CBTL branch.
I took a Vanilla Ceylon tea (Php 120) with their Christmas special Lemon Square (Php 90).
Their Vanilla Ceylon tea was therapeutic, relaxing, and calming. Every time I bring the mug of tea, a nice aroma of vanilla welcomes me before a sip of hot tea. A good way to break stress in the middle of a day.
The tea went a good match to a piece of CBTL's Lemon Square. I simply described it as average. It has a rough thick hard base that made it difficult to slice. Upon bite, a strong and prominent lemon curd burst into my mouth that resembled a lemon candy. A normal experience to summarize it.
All in all the experience was typical of CBTL. Though the Christmas products seemed interesting, but it did not taste extraordinary.
