Beyond Expectations: Cinnabon in Festival Mall

Overall Experience:
8 out of 10

Initially, I expected low for food chains, the same I had for Cinnabon for years. I wanted to try their highly regarded cinnamon roll to check if it lives up to its reputation. When I did, it seriously beat my expectation with their branch in Festival Mall.

The Cinnabon Festival Mall branch calmed eyes with wood color tones and a light blue painted wall. They have different dining sets available from a long table, to stools, to lounge set, and to simple chairs and table all complementing the surrounding colors.

For their menu, they have Cinnabon Classic Roll and Chocobon, with mini versions available for lower prices. They also have special rolls like the Biscoff Milky Bon. In addition, they also coffee and espresso beverages.

I ordered the Minibon (Php 75) and a cup of Cappuccino (Php 100). Firstly, the cappuccino I had had more milk than espresso tasting more like a latte instead. Nevertheless, the Cinnabon made its name for its cinnamon roll. The roll had a strong and distinct cinnamon aroma. My fears of overpowering sweetness went unfounded as it had the just right amount of sweetness with a light and zesty icing that added additional flavor and a creamy texture in it. This phenomenal cinnamon roll made me buy another, but this time the bigger classic (Php 110).

Alas, Cinnabon beat my expectation and disproved my thought of it as overrated. I hope they maintain their excellent quality in all their branches, so I may grab another in the nearest branch.
