Boulangerie22 competes with numerous bakery chains that have grown incredibly for the past years. Luckily, they have a branch in Festival Mall.
For ambiance, elegantly bright and enticing displays of bread and cakes greeted customers upon entry. Next to this the dining area was clean and meant to reflect a subway station, but personally, I felt like I was in a bathroom for its extreme use of tiles and lighting.
For their food, they have cakes, bread, loaves, and cookies. they also have pasta and coffee, but perhaps due to the pandemic, only a few available. Their selections of bread vacuumed sealed made to keep the freshness. I tried their Caramel Chewy Fudgy Brownie (Php 59), Japanese Custard Cream Cheese Bread (HP 59), and Chocolate Macadamia Cookie (Php 69).
For starters, their Caramel Chewy Fudgy Brownie had the right sweetness and chocolaty as well as indeed chewiness but not gooey in its texture.
The Japanese Custard Cream Cheese Bread had a soft fluffy bread, then a thick custard with an excellent blend of cream cheese smacked right in the middle.
Finally, the Chocolate Macadamia Cookie, which I expected to be something hard and crumby, proved not. It had the right balance of thick hard exterior while having a soft chewy interior with bits of macadamia across the cookie.
Summing up, Boulangerie22 adds a new option for bread cravings. Their prices well average compared with its competitors and match the quality of their products. Like other bakeries, coming back will be an option to experience their other creations.
