Cassalu amazes with their dozen-flavor cheesecake, but how does dining in felt like?
The Cassalu in Las Pinas City has a warm and feel at home ambiance. Neat and clean, it has a playful appearance to the eye for its diverse furniture and decor, from a basic chair and table family-style dining with simple and long sofas combined with works of art, with the most unique being the mugs on the wall.
For their menu, they have a variety of dishes for every course, from breakfast bowls to pasta. Finally, their cakes from Tiramisu to their renowned cheesecake displays on their counter.
I ordered their breakfast burger steak bowl alongside a cappuccino and their pleasing eye-catcher tiramisu.
Their Burger Steak Bowl was a premium for Php 155 with rice, egg, and 2 quality beef burger patties drenched in mushroom gravy. Quite under-seasoned, but the beef flavor resounded strongly and blended well with the mushroom gravy. Together with a fried egg, it provided heavy morning energy.
Their cappuccino on the other hand fared alright. Not bad for a morning coffee for its price tag. A good pair for their delectable cakes.
Finally, the Tiramisu cake. Unfortunately, their server came to me that the cake was unavailable, hence I had to choose another. Though disappointed, all of their cakes caught my interest at the start and I chose my second option - Mango Bliss.
Mango bliss felt refreshing and cool. I do not like chiffon cakes, but this I enjoyed for its extremely soft and creamy texture with a truly resounding mango taste. It compensated well for the lost Tiramisu cake.
